Frequently Asked Questions about JustUs

Yes the programme is accredited although this happens differently depending on the setting.  

Within schools it is compatible with key elements of the Citizenship Education aspect of Learning for Life & Work curriculum and will be accredited via that.

Within youth work settings it is Open College Network Northern Ireland accredited.  The level and number of credits for Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 programmes will be released in due course.

JustUs is free for school and youth work settings (as is the associated Training Programme for the teachers and youth workers who will deliver it). Gaslight Media Trust secured the costs associated with developing the programme for its end users from the EU Peace III Programme, managed by the Special EU Programme’s Body.

JustUs will be delivered via school and youth work settings across Northern Ireland.  As these schools and youth work settings sign up to host delivery they will be listed in the Get Involved section of this website.

Yes.  There is currently a 3-day Training Workshop scheduled for teachers and youth workers.  The exact date for this is yet to be confirmed but it will either be early December 2014 or early February 2015.  A number of places are still available and you can request an application form in the Register Your Interest/Get Involved section of this website.

N.B. GMT has secured the necessary finances to provide sub-cover for the release of both teachers and youth workers.

Go to the Get Involved section of this website and click on the national identity button that best represents how you identify. Input your details in the Register Your Interest section. Once complete click the Register Your Interest button at the bottom of the form.  The project management team will then contact you to agree next steps.

JustUs will only be delivered via school and youth work settings. If you are interested in your child doing the programme you will need to bring it to the awareness of their school or youth worker and see if you can interest them in registering to host the project. 

JustUs is currently scheduled to go live at the end of 2014. It will be delivered via school and youth work settings. As they sign up to host its delivery they will be listed in the Get Involved section of this website.
